Anybody!! apply101 is a college application help tool. While apply101 can be used by anyone (and yes we mean anyone - we've seen people repurpose it for wedding planning), apply101 works best when used by high school seniors that are actively applying to college in partnership with their parents and counselors.
You bet! Think of apply101 as a college application organizer. After you create an account you will see a prompt that says "Don't Have Any Colleges Yet". From there, you can click on the "Help Me Get Started" button.
This will create a custom dashboard of tasks and a college application checklist that will help you get started applying to college.
apply101 is 100% free for students, parents, counselors and community organizations to use as a college admissions assistance tool.
apply101 supports most colleges and universities in the United States. However, at this time we do not support for-profit, trade schools, community colleges or international colleges and universities. Still not seeing your college? Let us know.
apply101 currently has information about most application deadlines. However, we do not support transfer students or international students. Would you like us to add these? Let us know.
Let us know and we will get it corrected right away. Colleges often change deadlines or requirements in the middle of an application.
We encourage you to use apply101 to track all of your college to-dos in one place. Making your own task is easy. Simply, click on "add my own task" from your dashboard or tasks page.
apply101's Google and Dropbox integration function enables you to copy and paste the URL from your personal account into a specific task to share with the application team (parents and counselors). Once copied to a task they can view, edit and save the file from that link.
Every year we spend months combing through the websites of all the colleges and universities in the U.S. to gather their application requirements.
apply101 is committed to providing accurate information about application requirements. However, information does change and new requirements or deadlines are often added or removed after we gather the year's data. With this in mind we recommend that you double check the information provided by apply101, just in case.
In order for your parent or counselor to see your apply101 account you must invite them to connect.
To set up custom reminders login to your account, click on the My Accounts Tab, and select Reminders and Alerts.
Once on the Reminders and Alerts tab click on the New Reminder.
From here, you can either receive a weekly progress report or reminders when a deadline is coming up and can receive reminders either via text message (standard messaging rates apply) or via email.
You can set up as few or as many reminders as you like.
Fantastic! Feel free to contact us with any ideas you have on how we can improve apply101.
Great question (and thank you)!
We are big fans of The Common Application at apply101. It is a great tool for college admissions help to apply to a ton of colleges with one, standard application. Check them out, they are great!
Having said that, there are four main differences between apply101 and the Common Application:
For the best college application experience we encourage you to use apply101 as a complement to the work you aredoing on the Common Application.
